We are currently observing an increase in SMS fraud attempts (“smishing”) using LuxTrust’s identity.

Important reminder:

1. Be cautious of SMS messages or emails asking you to take action, even if the sender’s name or phone number appears to be authentic.

Fraudsters use specialised software that hides their real phone number and displays LuxTrust’s number instead.

2. Never enter your credentials by clicking on a link received via SMS or email, even if it leads to a website that appears “official”.
Fraudsters create fake websites that closely resemble legitimate ones. Only use your official applications or access websites through their known addresses (avoid accessing them via a search engine).

3. In case of doubt:
You can visit the LuxTrust website and check the status of your device via the “Test my certificate” page.

Note: LuxTrust certificate renewals are automatic and managed directly by LuxTrust.
