Banque Raiffeisen is proud to announce that it has been rewarded its third “Actions positives” award by the Ministry for Gender Equality and Diversity (MEGA). This award, a symbol of recognition, acknowledges Banque Raiffeisen‘s ongoing efforts to promote gender equality and improve work-life balance for all its staff members.

This distinction reflects Banque Raiffeisen‘s determination to create an inclusive working environment where every staff member, regardless of age and gender, benefits from the same opportunities to develop their career while allowing them to lead a fulfilling personal life.

To achieve this, Banque Raiffeisen has introduced several initiatives to make it easier for its staff members to reconcile their professional and personal commitments. Flexible working hours, a maximum of 100 days of remote working per year in satellite offices or at your own home, and the “Quality Time” initiative, which offers one additional free day per month, are all measures designed to support a better work-life balance. These efforts are particularly beneficial for women, who often face even greater challenges in reconciling professional development and family duties.

In addition to work-life balance, Banque Raiffeisen is committed to promoting gender equality at all levels in the organisation. The Bank cares about offering equal opportunities for progression, with particular emphasis placed on supporting women in positions of responsibility. To ensure transparent and fair assessment processes, Banque Raiffeisen relies on a competency framework that enables fair interviews and impartial recruitment, promotion, and training decisions, thus encouraging the progression of women into leadership positions.

At Banque Raiffeisen, commitment to equal pay is a priority. An external and independent analysis carried out as part of the certification process shows that after taking into account factors such as age and professional experience, the unexplained pay gap between women and men is 0.5%, which is relatively small and statistically insignificant. Thus, the analysis did not reveal any significant effect of gender-based pay discrimination. Raiffeisen‘s commitment to pay equity reflects its values of integrity and respect. It positions the Bank as an exemplary actor in favour of gender equality in the financial sector in Luxembourg.

For the third time, Banque Raiffeisen has been awarded the ESR label by the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility (INDR), a partner of the House of Sustainability.

This nationally and internationally recognised label is the result of a voluntary initiative by the Bank. It underlines Banque Raiffeisen‘s efforts to have a positive impact on society and to respect the environment while remaining economically successful. At Banque Raiffeisen, this balance is achieved thanks to the awareness and concrete actions of all stakeholders, i.e. customers, members, employees and suppliers.

More specifically, the ESR label underlines the Bank‘s strong commitment to CSR, its actions in favour of sustainable development, its social responsibility and its alignment with the most rigorous national and European norms and standards in this area.
