Through a rigorous and transparent selection process, our ‘Best Of’ fund selection features the best funds based on simple and traceable quantitative criteria, followed by a qualitative assessment by our experts.

Quantitative analysis

To begin the selection process, we apply the following quantitative criteria to filter the initial universe:

Minimum thresholds for assets under management
Limited to accumulation units
At least 5 years’ track record
Risk-adjusted return

This step is central to our selection process and allows us to identify funds that take measured risks. We use the Morningstar Rating Overall indicator and exclude funds with a rating of less than 4 stars. In this way, we select only those funds with the best risk/return profile.

Qualitative analysis

Funds that meet the quantitative criteria described above are analysed by our Investment Desk experts, who pay particular attention to the investment strategy and process. This analysis rounds out our selection and takes into account several criteria, in particular the quality of the fund manager.

If we do not find any actively managed funds via our ‘Best Of’ selection process, we will suggest that you invest in passive funds (ETFs) instead, funds that replicate the performance of their benchmark index¹.
