Press Release - Banque Raiffeisen appoints Carole Schwartz as Head of Marketing and Communication

31 January 2024

Carole Schwartz joined Banque Raiffeisen, the country’s only cooperative bank, on the 1st of January as Head of the new Marketing and Communication department.
The merger of the Marketing and Communication departments will enable the Bank to consolidate its external brand image and communicate its range of products and services accordingly.

Originally from Luxembourg, Carole Schwartz studied economics and mathematics at the Lycée Michel Rodange, before obtaining a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in communications and public relations at the Catholic University of Louvain-La-Neuve.

Carole Schwartz began her professional career in the retail marketing department at a Luxembourgish bank, before moving to the Human Resources department. There she had the opportunity to work in the areas of employee training and recruitment, before devoting herself to the professional development of employees. After twenty years of gaining considerable experience, Carole Schwartz closed a chapter in her career as Assistant Team Manager in the Marketing and Communication service

“At Banque Raiffeisen, people are at the centre of the concerns, and that is extremely important to me. Not only do staff members appreciate the fundamental values of a cooperative, but they also actively embody them internally. The family atmosphere and fast decision-making process make Banque Raiffeisen so special. I am looking forward to this great challenge and working with my new colleagues,” says the mother of two children and enthusiast of positive communication.

Laurent Derkum, Director of Human Resources, Marketing and Communication and Head of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) at Banque Raiffeisen, is convinced that the recruitment of Carole Schwartz is a guarantee of success for the Bank’s image in the future. “In her new role as Head of Marketing and Communication, Carole will be a real asset to Banque Raiffeisen, both professionally and personally. With her extensive experience, skills, empathy, and positive attitude, she will actively contribute to consolidating Raiffeisen’s strategic position as a bank close to its customers and stakeholders.”
