Repairing the damage caused by bark beetles
You may have noticed that a number of spruces in our forests have been sick and dying in the last few years. Have you ever wondered why? It’s because of the bark beetle, a species of beetle that lays rows of eggs underneath the tree bark, disrupting sap circulation and killing the trees. The only solution is to cut down the sick trees so that they don’t contaminate other nearby trees. Planting trees allows us to restore these devastated forests and rejuvenate them as quickly as possible so that they can continue playing their vital role for the environment.
